Weekly Roundup August 9th - August 13th

This week we welcomed 2 new interns and got to work learning all about the Ecological Monitoring Program. It also marked the start of the instructor training course with Mel and Aiara. 

We started with learning all about the gish and invertebrates on the reef 

We then jumped into look ore closely at some of the most iortant anials on the reef itself. The corals!!

We rounded off the week by looking at the health states of the corals 

We found examples of Skeletal eroding band, brown band disease, predation, growth anomalies and pigmentation responses. 

It was a great week all round, and Mel & Aiara sis an amazing job giving lectures and leading dives. 

We look forward to seeing how the rest of the month goes.
